Welcome to the Rene Lai Consultancy Ltd website. Rene Lai Consultancy has been set up to provide services relating to self-regulation of promotional and non-promotional materials and activities by the pharmaceutical industry. This ranges from writing and implementing review processes, medical review of promotional materials, to providing advice and training on Codes of Practice.
About Rene Lai
Rene Lai is a pharmacist by training and has extensive experience within the pharmaceutical Industry. She was Principal Pharmaceutical Adviser for a major blue chip company. This involved a diverse role within Medical Affairs. Rene also worked for an International Medical Consultancy to develop and manage promotional and educational meetings in the USA, Europe and South East Asia and so developed her knowledge of regulations and codes of practice in respect of international meetings and activities.
In 2002, Rene set up her own consultancy specialising in the self-regulation of promotional and non-promotional materials and activities within the UK and Europe. Rene has principally been involved in working with companies to develop their own review processes and policies; co-ordinating implementation of electronic review processes; providing support and interpretation necessary for the review and approval of marketing materials and activities for UK and European teams, and giving training on the EFPIA and ABPI Code of Practice. Rene is also involved with training run by the PMCPA.
